Nettles Construction Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Estimator & Digital Takeoff Manager to join our team in Kansas City. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, can multi-task and has some construction experience. Additional skills include communication, problem solving, strategic thinking and experience with takeoff software.
Nettles Construction Solutions specializes in the installation of cellular concrete engineered fills, roof deck systems, gypsum floor underlayment, sprayed fireproofing, and moveable partitions. Our operations cover 8 states with an annual revenue of $30 million. We are a growing

Salary Position
Starting Salary $50,000 – $70,000
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Reading and understanding architectural plans and specifications
Performing quantity takeoffs using software tools.
Communicating with estimators, project managers and sales team
Communicating with clients, contractors, subcontractors, architects, and vendors
Work closely with the sales team to obtain information associated with estimating projects.
Contacts customers by phone or email to determine correct scope of work to analyze possible scope differences within the bidding documents to determine customer’s needs regarding possible value engineering and possible additions or deletions of scope of work included in bid.
Document all changes, addendums, requests for information, or communications related to jobs.
Reviews pre-bid criteria.
Participate in conference or web-based calls as needed to discuss design options or details of projects.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
At least two years of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction industry.
Proficiency with take-off software, such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Construct Connect, Stack and The Estimating Edge, or similar.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Effective communication skills
Ability to multi-task and take on new challenges.
Physical Requirement
Employee required to remain in a seated position, working on a computer for continuous periods of time.
Employees are required to raise or lower objects from one level to another occasionally during the day, 5 to 15 pounds.
